WHEREAS the total reported to Council of the tender proposal received by Lignum Builders Ltd. for the repair of the Gore Bay Memorial Roof $76,381.00 plus HST for a total of $86,301.53; AND WHEREAS the correct actual total is $161,083.00 + HST, for a difference of $95,713.26 over the amount originally reported; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT Gore Bay Council proceed with the approval of the arena tender and allocate the remainder of $36,500 from capital costing from the following items: culvert inspections basement shelving ice plant Hydro control system boardwalk shore plan erosion harbour centre landscaping FURTHER, $50,000 from the Municipal Modernization Fund be used towards the arena roof repair; AND FURTHER, the reminder outstanding balance for the roof repair is paid for from general revenue; AND FURTHER resolution 15147 is repealed and resolution 15138 is amended to include Gore Bay arena roof projects.
